This is my first blog of the “new normal”. It all kicked off a day before my 50th birthday.
For me, 23rd March 2020 was the day I was told to stop working, and my 50th birthday celebrations in Butlins were cancelled. The country went into Lockdown following the COVID-19 virus. To be honest, I have enjoyed being a “man of leisure” but in the back of my mind I knew that I had to stop being a wet spark plug and get started.
It’s been tough reading all the new rules, and how I can apply these to make my photography business as safe as possible for my customers, myself and my family.
Everyone is now experiencing the “new normal” (such as in supermarkets). I have been busy ensuring that my studio is as safe as possible. In fact, looking at the supermarkets, my studio will be safer, as I have been following the practices of nurseries and other such providers that have been looking after our keyworker’s babies and children. I’m using the same cleaning products as the hospitals and with temperature checks and social distancing in place, together with between appointment cleaning and sanitation my clients can feel confident that their health and well-being has been considered our priority.
I’m getting really excited to welcome back all of my clients, and welcoming new clients to the Unique Photography experience.
